Siege

Fate and coincidence conspire behind closed doors and establish a sense of inevitability in global affairs. Deliberate action and interconnected randomness are now interpreted in the same way, both captured through the lens of an inexorable march of time toward somewhere between disaster and techno-utopia. Belief in our control over the turn of events is at an all-time low.

Where is the off button of these complex systems that we’ve surrounded ourselves with? What options do we have, and are we able to discern the near and long-term implications of each one? How do we decide, and who is left on the outside of these responsibilities? We are under siege, constantly, encircled by infinite answers and short on relevant questions.

“It’s easy to tell the difference between right and wrong. What’s hard is choosing the wrong that’s more right.”
