IT WAS a vintage performance from Masayoshi Son, the 58-year-old founder and chief executive of SoftBank, a Japanese telecoms and technology firm. He was speaking to members of SoftBank Academia, an in-house executive school set up five years ago with the chief purpose of finding his successor.
